A DISUSED building in High Wycombe suffered smoke and fire damage last night after it was targeted in a suspected arson attack.

Three fire crews were scrambled to the building in Green Street after a small fire took hold near the front door at around 9.15pm.

The fire was almost out when the crews from High Wycombe fire station arrived, but due to the nature of the materials that had caught alight the building had become full of thick, acrid smoke.

The crews used positive pressure ventilation fans to clear the building of smoke and noxious gases, and checked the area was safe before leaving the scene at around 10.45pm.

Yes I agree the place was a pit, but that was our office building. Let's target our nasty comments towards the scumbags that did it eh?
